Epic City Common Knowledge
PEOPLE:
Applebee:
Applebee is a newly hired medical examiner for the City. He is a young, energetic liberal that is full of righteousness.
NOTE: Applebee was so excited with his findings that the victim had been strangled and burned at close quarters by a chemically-created fire, and that this was obviously a horrendous homicide, that he rushed over to City Hall after hours to share his findings with the Police and/or the DA's office. To his delight, (and their astonishment) Applebee burst into a closed-door meeting between the Commissioner and the DA in the DA's office.
He quickly explained to them his findings, only to find that they nodded allot, did not look particularly interested, and then "reassured" him that they would look into the matter and get back with Charlie on the matter. (But he knew by their body language that this case was already somehow closed, and that it would never go any further than where he stood tonight.)
In addition, they seemed surprised that he had not shared his findings with Charlie prior to bringing information of that magnitude to their attention. They also asked for the proper spelling of his name...
Big Brady:
Police Commissioner - a large, powerful, charismatic, and strong-willed individual who has 25 years of service. He started as a beat cop in Kings and worked his way up the ladder with the use of his hard work, connections, and his forceful demeanor. When he makes up his mind, very few people would EVER disagree with him. He is "well fed" but is still generally physically fit. In fact, it is a rare occasion when another cop can out lift him in the weight room. He is generally clean cut, wears his uniform nearly everywhere, has wavy brown hair, and can be found on occasion with a cigar or a glass of whiskey & Coke.
Dirk Close - AKA: Silverback:
"The" District Attorney. When it comes to the courts, he IS the man. His record of convictions over the past 26 years is well known across all of the United Societies, and he is one of the most respected (or is it feared?) and influential members of the State. His look is one of grandeur. He is built powerfully on a large frame. His full face is amazingly ALWAYS neatly shaven, and his hair is reminiscent of Gordon Gecko's... except that it is always fantastically, perfectly greased back... and silver.
Charlie Cummings:
Chief Coroner and Medical Examiner of Epic City. Charlie is an older, conservative, PHD who is a nice enough guy, but he is content with just doing his job and going home to his family at night. He also enjoys teaching at Epic City University.
